How to GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER (Teenager's Edition)

Get out of the Downward spiral in your life

I assume you are around 14-19 years old and your life feels like Shit and you want to bring some change to you life ie; Make some change in you life and make it better 

Now who am i to tell you all this ?

I Have been in the same position as you are now , and i can say i have done quiet well in life these days , i was 15 when i started Self improvement and now i am 18 it took me 3 years to realize some facts and truths , if i knew some of it when i started my journey it would have been much easier and it would have taken much less time 

So i want to share the path i have taken in my journey , I will tell where i went wrong and where could i have improve and i will provide you with much needed resources so you don't have to go any where else to look for resources

I will mainly speak from a Teenage Boy's perspective , Because Some of the things only apply specifically for Boy's

And once you start it it's an life long process , it will become enjoyable to work on your self 


Take an A4 Size paper and a pen and just answer sincerely all the questions that are mentioned in this , Just Do it  

What are you doing on a daily basis?

If i ask you what did you do 2 Hours after you woke up or what where you doing at 12:30 pm can you answer it 

Regardless of the Answer i want you to Open up your Google Calendar(It's free and pre installed in your device) and start creating blocks of time which you think you spent on things(It doesn't need to be exactly the things you do ) . Make it as detailed as possible  

Go to Google Calendar

I assume you have done it . Now i want you to do some thing , Next Day on wards you need to just observe what you are doing and write it down on a paper

You need to observe your behavioral pattern for at least 1-2 weeks. Remember this is a slow process that compounds over time 

For the time being Just observe . You will start to see some really bad things in that list and you don't have to feel shame or bad about it instead be happy you have found some shit in your life and you will make it go away


Get your intakes Right

you get what you give 

if you have been observing your behavioral patterns ,you will see things that you don't want to see in that piece of paper where your tracked your day .like watching some useless shit ,doom scrolling and many more things that you hate  

Don't worry you can fix this 

To Fix the output ,See what are you inputting into the system 

Look at the content and things you consume online , Do you see something wrong with it ,  if yes then CUT THEM OFF

It's easy to say but lot hard to do , Let me tell you the reason for cutting them off 

Every habit you have is triggered buy something , mostly you won't even notice the trigger , but your subconscious mind will catch on to it and act upon it . The main objective is to rewire your brain to not get triggered buy those previous triggers . This will take a significant time but it will be worth it 

Your mental and physical wellbeing go hand in hand , you need to start working in both of these domains to get out of the rut you are in 

you only need to take care of 3 things to improve on it 

  • Sleep 
  • Diet 
  • Workout

these are the fundamental things , There are lot's of other things as well but this will set you up for about 80% improvement from your current state

Why only 4 Resources ? Because i started with these and this perpetuated the cycle of self improvement in my life 

Now a major thing to take into account is that you won't be able to take any significant actions for at least sometime , it's a phase where you can only consume these self improvement videos or books but can't take any action , This phase will eventually get over and you see results for every action that you take 

At some point this self improvement journey of yours with turn into Toxic self improvement . you need to acknowledge it and take a break 

If you have read this far then i have done my role well , because if i just spill out each and every step that you need to take then this won't work 

you need to put in your own effort to see results , Explore . i just gave you a starting point now you need to follow your heart and let it take you to where ever it desires
